Grant rejection

Dear Anthony,

After very careful review of your submission to the Saint Botolph Club Foundation, we regret that we are unable to offer you the Grant-in-Aid for which you have applied. There were more deserving candidates than we are capable of funding, and we're sorry that that your fine work, accompanied by the vigorous endorsement by your nonimator, could not be selected to receive this support. We wish you well in the pursuit of your goals as an artist and hope for the success your work merits.

Sincerely,
Jane Goldman, Chair
St. Botolph Club Foundation

(Here's a handwritten part located at the bottom of the letter)

Dear Anthony,

The Committee wanted me to write you and express our appreciation for your work and for your excellent proposal. With very few grants awarded, the decision came, in the end, down to urgent need. There is nothing in the form or content of this grant proposal that should be changed. We sincerely hope that you will garner the funds to make this performance possible.

With all best regards,
Margaret Ulmer, Chair
SBCF Music Jury
